Infrastructure Automation Release Engineer

Who are we?

What will you be doing?

Working closely with our development and delivery team, you will be responsible for automating all software releases consisting of databases, websites, webservices, windows desktop applications, Windows services, either on customers site and moving to Azure.

Your Key Responsibilities:

For our existing customer and Azure hosted solutions, migrate our existing manual deployment practices to fully automated procedures.

Design and implement automated upgrade and deployment procedures for our next generation Azure hosted solutions.

Maintain our “automation library” to be in line with new infrastructure requirements of our evolving solutions.

Assist with manual deployments when no automated solution exists…and then build it!

What do we need from you?

Essential:

  • A minimum of two years commercial experience using Octopus, Chef, Packer, Terraform or similar tools
  • Demonstrated experience of automating tasks using Powershell
  • Experience using Jenkins or TeamCity to implement Continuous Integration
  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile software development lifecycles
  • Self-motivated and able to manage and prioritise own workload

Desirable:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Windows Server 2008R2 > 2016
  • Working knowledge of Azure Platform-as-a-Service
  • Experience using the Atlassian suits – specifically Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket

Integrations Developer

We’re looking for an Integrations Developer who wants a varied role which will enable them to flex their client facing/consulting skills combined with leverage their C#, .NET Development skills working companies new flagship product based on cutting edge technologies including C#, .NET, Micro Services and MS Azure. What will you be doing?

This exciting customer facing role will be based at our Head Office in High Wycombe where you will be reporting directly to the Development Manager and you will be an integral member of the development team. You will have sound skills in C# and .NET Development, strong communication skills combined with skills in integration/web services/API Integration such as (JSON, RESTful, SOAP.)

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a subject matter expert in the company’s technology solutions
  • Hold workshops to understand customer integration requirements
  • Work with our Product Owners, define user stories for new integrations
  • Develop integrations using MS-SQL, C# and other appropriate technologies
  • Create technical documentation
  • Support customers through User Acceptance Testing prior to go-live
  • The role will involve travel to customer sites within the South East and Midlands

What do we need from you?

  • C# and .NET
  • .Net web services/API’s such as (SOAP/Rest/JSON)
  • MS SQL
  • Excellent communications skills, comfortable dealing with large and small customers both in person and on the phone
  • Ability to translate both technical and non-technical requirements into an integration design
  • Experience developing applications or integrations in a Client Server environment using
  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile software development life cycles
  • Self-motivated and able to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

Service Desk Analyst

What will you be doing?

As a Service Desk / Helpdesk Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Being part of a team whose only mission it is to make our customers happy
  • Being empathetic, responsive and excellent at handling incoming customer helpdesk tickets
  • Being proactive by doing preventative maintenance to catch issues before they happen

What do we need from you?

First and foremost, you will be a people person and be able to build rapport and empathy without thinking about it.

This is a technical role and you will be supporting our sameday courier software (training will be provided) on both our customer’s Microsoft server infrastructure and on our own Azure infrastructure.

Essentials

  • Exceptional communications skills (both written and oral)
  • Incredible troubleshooting, reasoning and deduction skills.
  • Windows Server 2003+, VMWare v5+, Windows desktop XP-10
  • MS-SQL 2005+ (specifically T-SQL)
  • Competency with iOS and Android mobile operating systems
  • Ability to pick up and learn new software quickly
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
  • Drive and passion to get things done and find solutions
  • Desire to add value and make a difference in a growing organisation

Nice to have

  • Expertise and knowledge of sameday courier market and or similar role in an IT related company.
  • Experience of working in a service desk environment under an ITIL framework
  • Familiarity with Azure environment and associated tools

Salary and location:

£25k – £30K depending on experience.
