QA Engineer Lead

We are looking for an experienced hands-on QA Test Lead to line manage a team of QA engineers who are responsible for the Quality & Assurance of a suite of products for our sameday courier software.

You will have a passion for automation and an interest in performance testing, you will be responsible for the overall QA strategy, line management of a small QA team which is 2 to 3 engineers at the moment. Must be prepared to roll your sleeves up when required, you will be required to produce test reports and participate in Go No/Go calls.

Essentials

  • Hands-on QA Lead role with either previous experience of leading a QA team or a desire to move into this role
  • To create a new Test Strategy including the drive to do more automated testing
  • Demonstrated experience in testing REST APIs using Postman/SOAP UI or a similar tool
  • Any API Automation is an added bonus
  • Experience of the testing desktop based solutions at the customer site
  • Any exposure to release testing or UAT testing highly advantageous

Scrum Master

  • Own scrum framework and facilitate all scrum ceremonies
  • Act as servant-leader to the teams by identifying and helping to remove impediments or blockers

API Developer

We are looking for an experienced API Developer with proven commercial experience of creating API’s using  C# in a .NET development environment. Strong communications skills are essential for this role, the role requires regular interactions with our customers, to extract requirements, create technical specs, develop API’s according to specs & finally conduct testing/UAT with the customer and internal teams.

Software Developer (Delphi)

DA Systems is the market leader in the provision of software solutions to the fast growing sameday courier industry.

With our flagship back office product suite written in versions of Delphi from 2007 to 10 (Seattle) there is always demand for experienced Delphi developers to maintain and develop our solutions based on customer demand. Our Delphi product suite is developed entirely in house in a busy but friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

What will you be doing?

You will primarily be maintaining and developing our flagship product suite which includes individual applications and services written in versions of Delphi from Delphi 2007 to Delphi 10 (Seattle) as well as C# and javascript.

You’ll work with the team on developing roadmap features for our products and with our Service Desk team to resolve bugs reported by customers. You will need an analytical mind suited to solving real-world problems. From time to time we might ask you to work with a customer on their specific requirements or issues so we’d like you to be comfortable working with and talking at a technical level with customers.

Our main requirement is for good Delphi developers but there is always scope for increasing the amount of client facing activities if that is the direction you wish to head in. We’re just as happy though if you want to keep your head down and code!

You’ll need to be able to commute reliably to DA’s offices in Loudwater, High Wycombe and very occasionally to customer locations.

Essentials

  • Extensive commercial experience developing client server applications in a variety of versions of Delphi, primarily 2007 and later (preferably 5 years+)
  • Developing in Transact-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) to support client applications
  • Developing and supporting products through the full software development lifecycle
  • Working with common third party Delphi components such as Indy, TMS, DevExpress
  • Some experience of C#/.NET would be a beneficial
  • Any experience of web development relating to JavaScript and CSS is a bonus
  • Working as a flexible part of an agile team

Angular Developer

We are looking for an experienced Angular 5+ developer to work on a greenfield project to design our next generation same-day courier website, you will be responsible for the design & development of the Angular Single Page app for our multi-tenanted website.

Senior Application Support Specialist

What will you be doing?

As part of the Service Support Team, The Senior Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing high quality operational and technical application and systems support to DA Systems’ internal and external customers across multiple support streams: Service Support, Project Support, Test and Release.

The role is responsible for minor implementations, deployments and upgrades, supporting pre-production environments whilst providing 3rd line support by diagnosing and providing solutions for client issues.

What do we need from you?

First and foremost, you will be a people person and be able to build rapport and empathy without thinking about it.

This is a technical role and you will be supporting our sameday courier software (training will be provided) on both our customer’s Microsoft server infrastructure and on our own Azure infrastructure.

Key Requirements for Service Support:

  • Provide Level 3 support and guidance to the Service Desk
  • Employ Delphi, MS-SQL (T-SQL), iOS, Android skills
  • Work with clients, business analysts and development team colleagues in the support lifecycle
  • Actively test and participate in Quality Assurance activities
  • Help maintain a high standard of code quality in consultation with the Development Team
  • Support existing clients with their enquiries and reported issues
  • Ensure SLAs are adhered to
  • Implement bespoke software on client infrastructure
  • Support Cloud internal software
  • Ensure internal IT services are identified and documented
  • Develop and maintain documentation into the Knowledge Database

Key Requirements for Test and Release:

  • Support the Development Team with QA and pre production environments
  • Responsible for bespoke Software Change Request’s deployments in Customer Environment
  • Customer Upgrades and Migrations
  • Implementation support, setting up new servers, installation of Windows, IIS & MS SQL Server
  • Develop a documented repeatable process for upgrades
  • Assist with the automation strategy of the Development Team
  • Develop and maintain documentation into the Knowledge Database

Key Requirements for Project Support:

  • Represent Service Support in the Design and Build phase of new projects
  • Integrate with Service Delivery to ensure adequate ELS is provided
  • Ensure a supportable service model is developed for all new services
  • Gain a good understanding of cloud concepts such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
