TECHNICAL INFOMATION
What powers NX Fleet Tracking?
You can be confident when choosing NX Fleet Tracking that the system has been developed using only industry standard and proven development tools. We are the developers, it has not been outsourced.
We use development environments including Microsoft Visual Studio to code NX Fleet Tracking. Our source control is managed using Perforce. Version and Quality Control is handled by an in-house management product which is fully integrated within our support / CRM system.
Handheld Devices
NX Fleet Tracking is device independent, meaning that you can choose either PDA type or rugged devices - with an integrated GPS receiver or external plug-in device.
Operating System
On the handheld side, NX Fleet Tracking runs on any Windows Mobile operating system.
Airtime
NX Fleet Tracking works with all networks. Through clever design, the application uses the very minimum of data. We estimate that to track vehicles at intervals down to 1 minute, during a 12 hour working day and 20 day working month, you will need less than 1Mb of GPRS - much less than the minimum included in most airtime contracts.
